Omar Cardosa was born in Cacocum, Holguín, Cuba. He began studying classical guitar at an arts school at the age of 10 and later continued his training at the Conservatory of Music in Holguín, where he graduated as a guitarist and music professor. He began his professional career in the province of Granma, first as a guitar teacher and later as a member of local and national orchestras, working as an arranger, composer, bassist, and musical director. As a composer, he has received national awards. Omar moved to the United States in 2017 and is currently a member of the Celia Cruz All Stars orchestra.
